Travel Subsidy for Remote Area Teachers – provided through a grant from Google Australia:
To facilitate attendance by remote area teachers, we have available a limited number of subsidies to assist teachers to attend the Dig Tech Skills Expo to be held on Saturday May 28 at Mountain Creek State High School on the Sunshine Coast (
https://skills_expo_may2022.eventbrite.com.au). The subsidy totals $200 and is limited to those teachers who are teaching in 2022 at DET schools with a remote area points allocation of 4 or higher, or at a non-government school where the nearest DET school has one of those ratings. A guide to ratings for DET schools in Queensland is publicly available here.

If you qualify for the subsidy then you will need to follow these steps:

  • Request the School Letter confirmation of 2022 placement form from admin@codinginnovationhub.com, and have it signed before returning a copy to  the same email address, and your subsidy eligibility will be confirmed
NOTE: Please check your eligibility first -
    here
  • Once subsidy is confirmed, your school can invoice Mountain Creek State High School for the amount along with the name of the teacher claiming the subsidy
